You Know What Frustrates Me???

What really gets my goat, is having to document everything with photos!

I’ve built my clientele twice and I have been quite successful in doing it. The first time in 1996 and the second in 2012. The way I did that was sitting, waiting, greeting clients and doing the best hair I could do. It was word of mouth from there! Fast forward to 2019 and if you don’t have an Instagram full of photos of hair styles you’ve done, it might be a challenge to get clients. I’ve even lost potential clients because I didn’t have a portfolio of my work, hahaha! I was like “Girl, my work is out there!”. For me, It’s nearly impossible to take photos of my work, and stay on time!

And now, wanting to blog for you all, I find myself stressing about what photos I can use to help explain techniques. OH THE PRESSURE!!!

Whats ironic about this whole dilemma is I love photography! I have a pretty high quality camera and I take a TON of photos. However, my love for photography is to capture moments. Taking photos for a job… not my thing!

I guess you ( my small fan base aka as family and friends ) will get to watch my growth.

It’s funny how it seems so effortless to some, like taking selfies, posting exciting content, being fit, dieting… etc, etc, etc.

I’m over here hoping something exciting happens in my life so I can post about it, or writing an “exciting” post, then deleting the entire thing. Never, ever liking a selfie, even with the prettiest snapchat filter, changing clothes a million times every damn day… I even find myself feeling sad when scrolling through social media, feeling like I’m missing out on everything…

This internet world is strange.

Everyone worries about what the kids these days are going to be like. And I’m sitting here thinking, they are the ones creating this new world…they’ll be just fine.

But will we???

XOXO,

Mrs. Supreme
