First, let me introduce myself.

My name is Alicia, I am 42 with two adult kids and have been married to Mr. Supreme for what seems like a bazillion years well 21 years to be exact. I have been a Hairstylist for 23 years. I have worked in 4 different salons, with many talented stylists of all different ages and experience.

One of the things we all had in common was our lack of knowledge in our shears. Some of us had cheap shears,others had expensive. But none of us could tell you the difference between them.

The other thing we ALL have in common is our phobia of the dreaded walk in shear sharpener…

I’m sure every hairstylist has at least one nightmare story. And if not, take a moment to thank the hair Gods!

I’ve been telling my husband for years to go to training to become a shear sharpener. He finally agreed when he found a master sharpener in Florida who seemed to understand the importance of a properly sharpened shear.

The first day in class we learned the importance of using the correct tool for each type of shear, and also the different types of metals used for different shears. We were blown away by how little we actually knew.

After that we decided our business would be based on not only quality service but also education. We promise to do our best to fill this site with tools to help you make a better choice in purchases and also shear care!
